In the sports community, Peak Performance is referred to as “the state of which an athlete performs to the maximum of their ability with the athlete characterizing subjective feelings of confidence, effortlessness and the total concentration of the task at hand”.

A prime example of this is the Iowa Hawkeyes Wrestling Team. The University of Iowa wrestling program is one of the most successful athletic programs in NCAA Division I as well as being a member of the Big Ten Conference. Not to mention, Iowa is second in NCAA history with 23 national championships, all of which have come since 1975.
