About Us My House Sports Gear

Who Lyke’s Pane? The beginning

Behind every business is a story, a passion, a dream and some quirky moments in-between. Tim Pane (Owner/CEO of MyHouse Sports Gear) was a man with a plan. With the dream of owning his own athletic sports wear business, he was determined to succeed.

A little fun fact: Did you know that MyHouse was originally named “Lyke Pane Sports Gear”? I bet your thinking how “Lyke Pane” turns into MyHouse. Well here’s the lowdown…

It all started back in 2008 when Pane and his wife took in his sons high school friend Devin and invited him to live with them under one roof. They soon became family. It also happened that this new family members last name was Lyke.

“Lyke Pane Sports Gear” was born, because “People Lyke Pane” right?

This is MyHouse

As a few months passed and the newly titled business name had time to settle in, Pane felt that the company name needed more backbone and meaning. Back to the drawing boards! With countless hours of brainstorming, nothing was sticking. Taking a brainstorm breather, Pane switched on the TV. A little “Hell’s Kitchen” with Gordon Ramsey to ease the mind. As Gordon did his usual yelling at the shows contestants, Pane heard him utter “This Is My House….” And at that very moment it clicked. That was it… MyHouse!
